About Complete GP

CompleteGP was formed in 2006 by Carl Beame and Dr David Molony to create a system which corresponds to the way doctors and nurses work in the clinical environment.

The aim was to make the clinical record a complete picture of the Patient by integrating all medical sources into a single computer record. This incorporates, clinical notes, scanned and sent letters, lab results, emails, integrated medical device imports (BP, ECG, 24Hr BP, etc), pointers to relevant Internet resources, and pertinent clinical decision support tools.

In parallel with clinical needs we aimed to address the financial health of the practice. Great emphasis was placed on increased efficiency of everyday tasks such as improved scanning techniques, sophisticated templates allowing clinicians to quickly write referral letters, eliminating printing/scanning by direct importation of medical devices, full billing, audit and direct integration with accounting packages, auto filling and instantaneous submission of STC claim forms; all designed to reduce support staff overhead.

The system was designed such that future requirements, such as electronic Lab ordering, Standards implementation, new chronic disease management, PACS, secure email, etc. can easily be integrated.

CompleteGP has been so successful to date as it allows Doctors, Nurses, Secretarial, and Management Staff to think in patient management terms, without imposing a rigid structure on the clinical environment. In essence CompleteGP imitates the traditional medical paper file, and replaces it with a modern, easy to use, software package that improves overall recording, audit-research, and retrieval of information for all involved. It is designed to work in single handed to multi-centre practices and from the computer novice to the most sophisticated user.

From a small core, CompleteGP has grown to be the technology leader in GP practice management software and is fully certified by GPIT and Euro Rec 2009.
